Walk-a-thons, pink shoes for football players, bracelets and T-shirts saying “I Love Boobies”! What’s next?
“Searching” for a cure has become big business. CEO’s and top executives are making big salaries in not-for-profit organizations nationwide. However, no one has even come close to actually finding a cure.
We have, unquestionably, the most sophisticated health care technology in the world. Is it in spite of this technology that we have one of the sickest, least healthy nations? Or is it largely because of the over reliance on that technology?
There are more incidences of heart disease, cancer, diabetes, M.S. and even simple colds and flus than ever before in our country. There are more prescriptions doled out every year in our country as well. The last I checked it was over one billion filled per year for our 313 million people.
As a side note: did you know that every perpetrator in school shooting incidents was under the influence of prescription medications (drugs)? Not to be out done, The UPMC Psychiatric Hospital shooter was on 43 medications! That’s not a typo!
Back to our alarming reliance on these drugs and our wait, walk, run for the cure wishful thinking: when is enough, enough? How long can a company whose products that say “side effects include death,” on nearly every third daytime commercial stay in business? How long will they thrive? It’s a $3 trillion per year medical care business.
What will it take for us to see things differently? Don’t we all already know someone who’s had a bad drug reaction, an autistic child, an elder with dementia, someone in diapers dying alone and broke in a nursing home? This is the problem of masking problems with drugs for a lifetime.
Fortunately, there is a better way. The ounce of prevention vs. the pound of non-cure: the chiropractic lifestyle vs. the pill popping alternative. Doctors of Chiropractic are licensed primary care providers in all 50 states and have more hours in anatomy, physiology and the other important subjects that you’d want your doctor to know than any other specialist in the health care professions. Yes, more education than your standard M.D. when it comes to your body and how it works.
So, if you’d like a natural alternative to prescription drugs and their ridiculous list of side effects, a reprieve from pink tennis shoes and boobie bracelets, call the most highly advocated health care professional in your area, your local Doctor of Chiropractic and get back on the road to living well. We are here to save you and to allow your body to heal, cure, and regulate itself safely and naturally, Good Luck and God Bless You!
